Real Design Network is a web design directory comprised of 150 standards compliant web designers from 28 countries. If you are looking for a quality web designer or web design company then use our simple search feature below.
There are a number of reasons you should submit your website. Firstly, you will be helping promote good quality, standards based web design. If we can build a substantial directory of top quality web designers it could help the web design industry a great deal. You will be doing this by showing clients what a web designer should truly encompass. By seeing your site they will appreciate the quality of your work and hopefully be detracted from employing the services of other, non standards based designers. Secondly, it could help promote your website and allow clients to find your services. Thirdly, it will show others that you have been approved by your peers as a true web professional. There are many organisations around that list directories of web designers, but not many that list only web designers that create their sites to W3C standards.

You can find a web designer by using the search form on the left hand side. You can select a country from the list or enter the name of a city to search for. Any web designers from the country or city you searched for will be displayed in the results. From here, you will be able to view their details and access their site by clicking on their name. (Please note; The list of countries in the drop down box shows all the countries currently listed in our database. If a country is not listed in the drop down box it means that no web designers from that country have yet submitted their details or they have not yet been approved).

The main thing we look for is whether the site is designed to W3C standards or not. We want sites that are valid HTML or XHTML, make use of CSS and are designed with accessibility in mind. We also look for appearance, layout and ease of use. Sites that abuse Flash, JavaScript and similar technologies are unlikely to be approved, as are sites that use table based layouts. We will also not accept sites that use underhand SEO techniques.

This website was created to help promote web standards and to promote the work of those who adhere to web standards. By doing this we hope to encourage other web designers to start designing with web standards in mind and therefore help in the development of the Internet as a whole. We hope that the site will become a useful resource for those looking for the services of a professional web designer / developer.
We also felt the need to create this website due to the fact that there are a huge amount of web design companies who continue to create their websites using outdated and unprofessional methods. Not only does this stop the Internet growing into its full potential, but it also makes it difficult for clients to find a competent web designer. Even directories of 'approved' web designers found on the Internet return nothing but a list of companies who are still designing with complete disregard for web standards. We hope that this website can help change this unfortunate situation, and finally provide a definitive list of professional web designers.
